We stayed here for 4 nights whilst visiting the National Park. The hotel was probably the highlight of our stays in Costa Rica. Once you are past the front door and reception the hotel opens up into and oasis of tranquility. We had a wonderful first floor apartment with garden views. The room was beautifully decorated and an excellent size. The pool was a good place to relax after day trips with very enjoyable cocktails in happy hour 3-6pm. Breakfast was very good and the wildlife would always be close by, especially the monkeys who were very entertaining. Hotel has good parking a some excellent restaurants nearby which we could walk to in minutes. El Avion was very different set in an old plane with great meals and service. Definitely recommend if staying in Manuel Antonio. Tip: we took the local bus to the national park each day which comes every 15 mins, the stop is near the hotel. It’s only 380 colons (less than a £1) and takes away all the hassle of trying to park near the park.

The property is absolutely beautiful, nestled in the heart of the forest. The presence of wildlife was a delightful surprise, with animals occasionally appearing from the trees or crossing the path to the rooms, a truly enchanting experience for nature lovers. The hotel has a pool, which is perhaps a bit small given the number of guests, but it's understandable given the focus on preserving the natural surroundings. Another nice touch is the availability of fresh towels whenever needed. Breakfast was good, with a choice of five different dishes, although the buffet itself could benefit from a few more options, as it felt a bit limited. On the other hand, dinner was quite good, and the staff was very friendly and always available to assist.

What a terrific spot! We spent every morning watching the wildlife from the pool/patio area while having our coffee. The lush jungle spills right into the resort grounds. The menu at the restaurant is great (we had dinner several nights here), the complimentary breakfast is from the full menu, and the staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Happy hour at the bar produces some excellent drinks at excellent prices. The staff here was also outstanding. Our daughter's birthday was while we were there, and the staff left a note in our room and also made a point to bring her a candle in her breakfast haha. Should we stay in Manuel Antonio again, this will absolutely be the spot.

This hotel was just right for us. Although the entrance was unassuming, once through there you go into an amazing tropical garden. The wildlife here was wonderful. We saw monkeys, frogs, lizards and even a toucan behind our room. The room was a really good size and we loved the hammock on the patio. The mosquito net was welcome and the air conditioning was quiet. Really comfy bed. Breakfast wasn't huge, but the ordered items were beautifully presented. We also enjoyed dinners here and happy hour cocktails. The pool was lovely for a refreshing dip. The location is great for walking to other local restaurants and it's a very short drive to the amazing Manuel Antonio National Park.

Amazing pool that feels jungle-like and happy hour at 3 pm, staff were great and attentive, making sure we were comfortable. Overall, the outdoor common area was beautiful with lights, seating and there is a pool table. Our room was nice and spacious, very comfortable bed and couch, had good air conditioning and a fan, nice bathroom with hot water. Good breakfast options and delicious food in the hotel restaurant. The location is close to great restaurants with sea view. The bus operates right outside which can take you to the beach and the national park. We really recommend to stay here.
